  • “Book Now, Pay Later” Option

Glacier Adventure offers a “book now pay later option” for people who find it difficult to invest in future travel plans or are having problems booking online.  To book a tour send us an e-mail to [email protected] and let us know which tour you would like to attend, what date, time, number of guests, and your phone nr. (incl. country code).
Pay for the tour on location when you arrive at our base camp at Hali.

  • Where is Glacier Adventures meeting point?

Hali is located 13.km east of Jökulsárlón (Glacier lagoon) and 66.km west of Höfn.

  • Do you offer pick up?

We unfortunately don’t offer pick up. We recommend our guest meet us at least 15 minutes prior departure at our meeting point, Hali.

  • Is it possible to arrange private tours?

Yes we sometimes arrange private tours. Please contact us for further information: [email protected]

  • Can I drive to the Glacier Walk location myself?

No we have special jeeps for driving our customers on a 4×4 road.

  • What languages do the guides speak?

The guides speak Icelandic and English.

  • How can I make a reservation?

You can book your tour at our website glacieradventure.is
For special booking requests please contact us at [email protected]

  • I am pregnant, can I still join the glacier tour?

We don’t recommend that our guests join a glacier tour if they are pregnant because in all our tours we drive off the main road on bumpy roads. We gladly refund the tour if they have booked in advance before finding out the news. Feel free to contact us if you have further questions or concerns.

  • What kind of clothes should we wear on our glacier trip?

The weather in Iceland can change really fast, so it´s really hard to say. We recommend you wear 3 layers. Jeans are not recommended for our trips as they become very heavy, cold and uncomfortable to wear when wet. It´s really good to take sunglasses and sunscreen even if it is cloudy due to the high UV and sunlight reflection off of the glacier.
We can rent out hiking boots as well as a waterproof raincoat and over trousers for all of our trips.

  • Do I get my money back if it is raining or the weather is bad?

We do not give refunds if it´s raining. We can rent you a waterproof jackets and waterproof over trousers. However if we feel that at any point that conditions are not save for travel we will cancel or reschedule the trip and if we cancel we will refund you the trip.

  • Can you lend me warm clothing and suitable footwear?

We can rent out hiking boots (not in all sizes) as well as a waterproof raincoat and over trousers for all of our trips.

  • Are there any age restrictions and are the tours suitable for children?

We recommend that your child can walk itself for 2 hours and is not younger than 8 years.

  • Can I bring with me any luggage?

As there is not much room for luggage in our jeeps we ask that you only bring with you hand luggage of manageable size, like cameras.
