Glacier Experience: Snowmobile & Lagoon Kayaking
This action filled combo tour allows you to experience the wonders of Vatnajökull National Park, recommended for everyone that wants to see & experience the glacier from different points of view. This tour will allow you to go on a snowmobile ride on Europe’s largest glacier as well as take you on a breathtaking kayak adventure amongst the icebergs of Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.

Snowmobile
Snowmobiling on Vatnajökull Glacier is an extraordinary experience and an adventure not to be missed! This tour is the perfect length for ‘first-time riders’ and individuals looking for a scenic, fun ride, suitable for everyone. Explore and experiencing the wilderness of the glacier, and the breathtaking views.
Two people ride on one snowmobile together, to get a single snowmobile you have to pay supplement charge 9.000 ISK. A valid driver‘s license is needed to operate a snowmobile. Passengers do not need to bring the driver´s licenses.
The duration of the tour is approx 3 hours, including preparations. Snowmobile is 1 hour incl. 2 photo stops.
Glacier Lagoon Kayaking
The Jökulsárlón Glacier lagoon is considered as one of the natural wonders of Iceland. Paddling on the Glacier lagoon provides outstanding experience and gives participants a magnificent view of the ice cap and the vast dome of ice that rises above. A unique journey where we paddle amongst floating icebergs and wildlife, seals and birds.
This is the perfect tour for those who want to be environmentally friendly while exploring nature.
The Kayaks are SIT-ON-TOP boats, very stable and are suitable for first time kayakers. In the tours we use tandem kayaks (boat for two persons) for their safety, easy handling and stability. We also have single kayaks only in case of single travellers and/or odd number bookings.
When booking, you select number of passengers, not boat or boat type. The type of boats will be chosen on spot accordingly by your guide, not upon request.

The tours are led by local and professional guides to give you a safe and unforgettable experience in the breathtaking Vatnajökull region. The tours start in two separate locations, there is around 20 min drive between the two meeting point (25 km) so make sure to take that into consideration when planning your trip. No matter where you’re going in Iceland, it’s important to choose the right clothing and dress according to weather. We strongly recommend dressing in layers so it is easy to take off or put on layers depending on weather.
Good to have in mind
Reasonable fitness is required for the Kayak tour. Oversized people can expect having problems fitting the drysuits, and therefore unfortunately not being able to participate.
For safety reasons participants cannot exceed 120 kg (270 lbs) in weight for single kayaks or 180 kg (395lbs) combined weight for tandem kayaks.
