This amazing combo glacier tour offers you glacier hike on Vatnajökull Glacier and Kayak Tour in the amazing Glacier Lagoon – Jökulsárlón. This tour is in two separate locations, self-drive in between locations.
When you book this combo tour, you can choose if you would like to do the kayaking or the glacier walk in the morning. You can also do different activity on a separate day. The Kayak Tour on the Glacier Lagoon is operated by our local friends from Ice Guide. Glacier Adventure does the Glacier Walking tour. We look forward having you on board on our amazing adventure in Iceland.

When you join Glacier Adventure for a Glacier Walk you will get a personal experience from a local guide. You experience the wonders of Vatnajökull glacier and it‘s uniqueness while being away from the crowds.
Our guide takes you on an unforgettable journey on Breiðamerkurjökull, one of Vatnajökull biggest outlet glaciers. The trip starts at Hali where our meeting point is. From there the guide drives you to the glacier area, off the beaten path where you can breathe in the fresh Icelandic air.
The tour can take between 3,5 and 4 hours (1 – 1,5 hours on the glacier), including drive back and forth from our meeting point. This tour is rated easy and can be done by most children and adults.

Glacier Lagoon Kayaking*

The Jökulsárlón Glacier lagoon is considered as one of the natural wonders of Iceland. Paddling on the Glacier lagoon provides outstanding experience and gives participants maqnificent view of the ice cap and the vast dome of ice that rises above.
Come with us on this unique journey where we paddle amongst floating ice bergs and wildlife, seals and birds. This is the tour for those who want to be environmentally friendly while exploring nature.
The tour is fully guided and all participants are provided with top of the line drysuite and all other necessary equipment. Our Kayaks are SIT-ON-TOP boats, very stable and should be suitable for persons who have not gone kayaking before.
Notice that the tour includes physical activity and therefore a reasonable fitness is required.

Good to have in mind
Reasonable fitness is required for the this tour. Oversized people can expect having problems fitting the drysuits, and therefore not being able to participate.
Be at our meeting point 20 minutes before departure time. We recommend you to stay somewhere close to Hali the night before a morning tour.
