All our tours start from our meeting point at Hali, it is only a 10 minutes drive from Glacier Lagoon Jökulsárlón and the Diamond Beach. You’ll meet our guide at our reception in a renovated old cowhouse. Now it looks cozy and before the tour, you’re able to get dressed, use the facilities and if you need to rent some hiking shoes or rain clothes just talk to your guide, they will do everything to do your stay and walk on the glacier as comfortable as they can.
We do also recommend that you stay close to our meeting point at Hali, especially in the wintertime when you are visiting the ice caves. Sometimes the weather is not that good, it can be windy, icy roads and difficult to drive to our meeting point. If you try to book your accommodation in our area the night before, then it is more likely that you are able to join the tour if the weather is risky.
Our meeting point is at Hali, it is a 10 minutes drive from Jökulsarlon-Glacier Lagoon and we do have our own reception, and there are restaurants and guesthouses at the same spot. There is no accommodation at Glacier Lagoon and very limited service in the wintertime, even the facilities are sometimes not open. Here you can find accommodation on our meeting point www.hali.is www.skyrhusidguesthouse.is and www.gerdiguesthouse.is
