About

Filip is our Czech charmer. He moved to Iceland in 2022 and started working as a sheep farmer, but has been guiding glaciers for 3 years now. Filip is just an ordinary guy who grew up among meadows, forests, and rivers in the heart of the Czech Republic. He holds a Master’s degree in Sport and Education from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague, where he specialized in outdoor activities. From the mountains to the glaciers, his studies have fueled a lifelong passion for exploring the outdoors.

Along the way, he gained not only practical skills, but also a deep understanding of safety, teamwork, and leadership in outdoor settings – principles he now brings to every glacier adventure he guides.

In his free time, Filip love discovering the outdoors in every possible way – climbing, skiing, or kayaking. Above all, he is captivated by exploring ice caves that no one has set foot in before. This love for uncovering hidden corners of nature continues to inspire him as a guide.

Filip’s life motto is simple: be yourself and do what you love. For him, nothing beats being outdoors, embracing the raw beauty and challenges of Icelandic weather.

If Filip were a fruit, he’d be a coconut – tough and seemingly unapproachable on the outside, but full of rich, life-giving juice on the inside. 🥥
