About
Guillermo is our Spanish wilderness wizard. He came to Iceland in the beginning of 2022 to volunteer for Worldwide Friends in environmental education. After that, he worked as a guide doing ATV tours, while also going to the glacier with his friends for fun. After getting to know the glacier, he decided to become a glacier guide.
All his life, he’s been drawn to nature and mountaineering. He holds a degree in Environmental Science, has published a book, served as the coordinator of his scout group, and even worked as a forest firefighter in Spain. His passion in life is nature, along with almost every kind of outdoor activity, family, fire, parties, cumbia, and martial arts. His life motto is “Smile in the face of the difficulties”.
If Guillermo were a fruit, he’d be a pineapple – a tough, sweet, and slightly wild fruit that totally represents him 🍍
