This glacier tour is operated by our friends at Fjallsárlón!

Each boat can accommodate two persons in a double bed. The boats are designed with comfort and style in mind. Glass walls and glass ceiling offer an exceptional view from inside. The boats are fitted with a composting toilet, small kitchenette, electricity, and Wi-Fi. Please note that there are no shower facilities available on location.

Check-in is at 18:00 (later check-in is 15.000 ISK each extra hour). Check-out is at 09:00 AM. Please note that the transport during summer to and from the boat is by a Zodiac Boat (approx. 10 minutes each way) depending on location of the huts. The hut floats on the lagoon so you will not be able to go on land during your stay. During winter the huts will be located on the ice and the transport by a 4×4 vehicle. Age limit is 20 years old.

We recommend that guests have dinner before arriving. During summer appreciate the 24-hour daylight and throughout spring and autumn admire the pristine landscape as twilight falls. During winter enjoy stargazing and search for Northern lights from inside the warmth of the hut.

Aurora Hut is a ground-breaking eco-friendly boat with glass walls and ceiling that can be easily moved from one place to another.

The comfortable, and modern hut can be moved across ice, snow or even water without impacting the nature or surrounding area. We are therefore able to situate them on the glacier lagoon where there will be no light pollution, away from other travellers and traffic.

Please note that the overnight adventure is not considered to be your normal accommodation or a hotel but a real Icelandic adventure.

All tours are taken at the responsibility of participants. Glacier Adventure does not take responsibility for accidents which are caused by their customers or can be traced to their own actions.

• Full use of Igloo boat (duvets, pillows, and bedlinen included).
• Transport to and from the boat by a Zodiac boat.
• Light breakfast and evening basket.
• Cleaning after the stay.

• Glacier Adventure reserves the right to always keep a 5% payment fee to cover costs for the booking & rescheduling.
• If you must reschedule or cancel the booking, please provide us with 24-hour notice. This way we might be able to resell the seats.
• Cancellations received less than 24 hours before tour departure, will not be refunded. This includes bookings made within 24 hours before departure.
• If clients cancel their tour more than 24 hours before departure, a 95% refund will be given.
• “No Shows” will not be refunded if the client is not on time before the tour departure.
• Glacier Adventure reserves the right to cancel your trip with your safety in mind.
• With short notice, the tours can be canceled due to safety reasons or other natural conditions. In such cases, a 100% refund is provided.

Note: We don’t refund if the client is late or doesn’t show up, or if the weather is not good and the tour is still on schedule. We recommend that participants stay in a hotel or guesthouse close to Hali the night before the tour.
