South East Buggy Tours – Secret Lagoon Expedition (4 Hours)
This extended off-road adventure is the ultimate way to explore Iceland’s remote South East coast and one of its most breathtaking glacier lagoons.The tour follows our coastal route across rugged terrain and black sand beaches, taking you deep into wild and untouched landscapes. Along the way, you’ll visit a forgotten airfield, a hidden historical site that offers a fascinating glimpse into Iceland’s past. From there, the journey continues inland toward the stunning Heinaberg Glacier Lagoon, a true natural gem few travelers ever reach.
Important Information
- A valid driving license is required to drive a buggy. Guests without a driving license may join as passengers.
- Drivers must be at least 17 years old.
- This experience is not suitable for pregnant guests.
- Participants should be in good general physical condition and able to operate a vehicle on uneven terrain.
- Infant seats are not available.
- Weather conditions can change quickly; tours may be adjusted or rescheduled for safety reasons.
- Please dress warmly and be prepared for Icelandic weather — all essential safety gear is provided.

All essential safety gear and outerwear are provided, but dressing appropriately for Icelandic weather will make your experience even more enjoyable.
SOUTH EAST BUGGY TOURS MEETING POINT is located next to the ring road, 23 minutes (32km) east of the Glacier Adventure base camp. We recommend being there at least 20 minutes before departure time. You will find the South East Buggy Tours meeting point on Google Maps here

- Glacier Adventure reserves the right to always keep a 5% payment fee to cover costs for the booking & rescheduling.
- If you must reschedule or cancel the booking, please provide us with 24-hour notice. This way we might be able to resell the seats.
- Cancellations received less than 24 hours before tour departure, will not be refunded. This includes bookings made within 24 hours before departure.
- If clients cancel their tour more than 24 hours before departure, a 95% refund will be given.
- “No Shows” will not be refunded if the client is not on time before the tour departure.
- Glacier Adventure reserves the right to cancel your trip with your safety in mind.
- With short notice, the tours can be canceled due to safety reasons or other natural conditions. In such cases, a 100% refund is provided.
Note: We don’t refund if the client is late or doesn’t show up, or if the weather is not good and the tour is still on schedule. We recommend that participants stay in a hotel or guesthouse close to Hali the night before the tour.
