Fjallsárlón glacier lagoon ice floating is a unique floating experience in South Iceland. It offers you a moment of weightless calm, a chance to disconnect and reset both body and mind. Feel the rhythm of the icy water, breathe in the pure glacier air, and let the peaceful surroundings work their quiet magic. Your adventure begins at our tour reception by Fjallsárlón, where your guide will greet you. A short walk takes you down to the glacier lagoon, where you’ll receive a safety briefing and your floatation suit. When you are all dressed and ready, you will gently enter the water. During this adventure, you will experience the incredible sensation of floating among icebergs, safely supervised by your professional guide. Afterward, we’ll return to the reception area to warm up and enjoy a complimentary hot drink at our cozy Frost Restaurant.

The Fjallsárlón Glacier Lagoon Ice Floating tour is approximately 1.5 hours including the time it takes to get ready and dress down again after the tour (around 20-30 minutes in the water). The actual time that you will be floating in the glacier lagoon will vary based on your tolerance to the cold water and conditions at the lagoon.

Important Information

• Minimum height: 150 cm
• Maximum height: 210 cm
• Maximum weight: 110 kg
• There is a 10–15 minute walk each way to the lagoon, including uneven ground.
• Guests must be able to walk independently and move comfortably in the suit.
• Not recommended for guests with heart conditions, pregnancy, or serious health issues.
• Intoxication of any kind will result in refusal of entry without refund.
• Snow and ice conditions vary daily and cannot be guaranteed.
• Northern Lights sightings cannot be guaranteed.
• If you have concerns about suit size or fit, please contact us in advance.

What to bring!

• We highly recommend that you arrive dressed according to the weather. For maximum comfort we recommend dressing in layers as the weather can affect the whole experience. You will be out in the elements
• Warm layers to wear under the suit
• Soft gloves and thick socks
• A sense of curiosity and calm

FJALLSÁRLÓN TOUR MEETING POINT is located at Fjallsárlón / Frost restaurant. We recommend being there at least 15 minutes before departure time. You will find the Fjallsárlón meeting point on Google Maps here

• Glacier Adventure reserves the right to always keep a 5% payment fee to cover costs for the booking & rescheduling.
• If you must reschedule or cancel the booking, please provide us with 24-hour notice. This way we might be able to resell the seats.
• Cancellations received less than 24 hours before tour departure, will not be refunded. This includes bookings made within 24 hours before departure.
• If clients cancel their tour more than 24 hours before departure, a 95% refund will be given.
• “No Shows” will not be refunded if the client is not on time before the tour departure.
• Glacier Adventure reserves the right to cancel your trip with your safety in mind.
• With short notice, the tours can be canceled due to safety reasons or other natural conditions. In such cases, a 100% refund is provided.

Note: We don’t refund if the client is late or doesn’t show up, or if the weather is not good and the tour is still on schedule. We recommend that participants stay in a hotel or guesthouse close to Hali the night before the tour.
